This corrugated cardboard tray or mold can be used in the production of the product in the bakery and can even reach the consumer’s table. Cardboard food packaging is an eco-friendly and sustainable option that offers great performance, while contributing to environmental conservation and the circular economy.
As it can be used as a disposable baking mold, it eliminates the need for metal molds and additional utensils, which require cleaning and disinfection. This improves processes and food safety, while also reducing production costs.
Depending on the type of food, cardboard trays will need to have a finish adapted to the food, such as greaseproof paper or a plasticized finish. Foods with a higher fat or liquid content will normally require plasticization. In addition, the type of oven used for cooking influences the process.
